Journalism is presently faced with two major challenges: finding new ways to describe the world’s sustainability challenges in a way that attracts large audiences and developing innovative business models that can ensure long-term financial sustainability.
Join us for the launch of a new e-course “How to Run an Environmentally, Socially, and Economically Sustainable Media Company” with a global perspective on these themes. The e-course is developed by the Sustainable Journalism Partnership in cooperation with the Guardian, Sanoma, Schibsted and Politiken and WAN-IFRA as well as Linnaeus-, Rhodes-, Tampere-, Utrecht- and Örebro university, and it is funded by the Media Industry Research Foundation of Finland.
Listen to a panel featuring experts from Helsinki Institute of Sustainability Science (HELSUS), Sanoma, and Alma Media, who will discuss the role of media in the transformation towards a sustainable society.
Join Lars Boering, Director of the European Journalism Centre (EJC), as he explains how the EJC is transforming its support for newsrooms and journalists across Europe with a new strategic framework centered on sustainability.
